Instructions to make Crockpot Lentil Stewp (Stew/Soup) GF/DF/NF
- Beans: Rinse Lentils well. Cook Lentils, Bay Leaf, and Water in Crockpot (my crockpot is small) for 4 hours on high. Do check while cooking bc variables exist in cooking. Stir beans intermittently. Once cooked the beans will be brown in color, some may even appear like open clams (normal).

- Produce: Wash carrots (and celery if using celery- I didn’t have any today). *Peel onion and garlic, too, if using fresh. Peel potato skin. Use a cheese grater and carefully grate carrots and potato in fine shreds. *Chop the onion, garlic, and celery finely if using fresh. Set all aside.
- Meat and Produce: Brown Chuck with carrots and potato (and fresh onion, garlic, and celery). Stir frequently- potato starch sticks quickly to pan. Approximately 7 or more minutes. Then add wine (or choice of acid)- will sizzle, that is good. Blend and cook for an additional few seconds just for immersion.

- Add to Beans: Add skillet blend to crockpot beans. Blend well.
- Spices and Herbs: Add all spices and herbs. *omit onion powder, garlic powder, and celery salt if using fresh. Blend well. Sample. Turn off crockpot if all tastes good. Simmer in hot crockpot for 10-15 minutes. Serve. I would serve with a grilled cheese or garlic bread- just a suggestion. Looks terrible but very delicious. 🤤
